I've always had an interest in photography, I've still got my first ever SLR; it was a cheap Chinon, with a standard 50mm lense that I purchased about 27 years ago in Dixons!

Nowadays it rarely sees the light of day and I use a DSLR instead... a Canon EOS 400D, I still use the kit lense but I have added a 50mm prime and 55 - 300 telephoto.

The majority of images on this site were taken with this camera but not all, there are scanned images taken with my Chinon, images taken with a Nokia N70, an LG Renoir and a FujiFilm Finepix 6800Zoom.

I have no formal training in photography, learning as I go along. I also have a philosophy of trying to take the picture I want, rather than finding the picture I want in the digital darkroom. I'm no stranger to the "Digital Darkroom" and do "develop" my pictures but I'm interested in photography not what I can produce using my computer.

Not all of these images are technically perfect but I think they all "speak" to the viewer.

Have a look around I hope you like what you see, regardless I'd love to hear what you think.
